New Model Farm

New Model Farm is a family owned farm located at Micklefield Green, just south of the picturesque Sarratt Village, Hertfordshire. It comprises of  some stunning 140 acres of farmland, which falls within the 'Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The property also boasts to having the river Chess flowing along its western boundary and there are secluded ponds adjacent on the farm fed by the river. 

The farm itself has an array of unique features from the old rustic shells of  the original barns as well as the derelict old farm house and it also includes 12 acres of private picturesque woodland. 

Since 2019 the farm has been  available for hire and  Its size, location  and the quiet rural surroundings have made our unique rustic farm increasingly  popular for use as a film location site and for event purposes. 

New Model Farm Helipad 

Another sought after feature of the  location has become it‘s helipad. The helipad  itself is adjacent  to a 400m approach/ grass runway which makes for easy entry and departure procedures. New Model Farm's fantastic location nearby the M25 (Junction 18  0.75m) makes any commute or transfer from the Helipad efficient and time saving.

Throughout the years New Model Farm has been frequented by those wishing to explore its beautiful footpaths with its recognition as one of chilterns areas of outstanding natural beauty. In recent years, while the historic original barns begin some refurbishment, the site has become somewhat of a hidden gem for events and, more recently, for film location hire. The rustic original shells of the barns and rather dishevelled  original farm house have provided some unique backdrops. Additionally, the on site helipad, coupled with the rural open fields and privare woodland have become a attraction for film crews in central London and drone experts.

Features of the farm.

- 160 acres of picturesque farmland, including 12 acres of private woodland set within one of Chilterns areas of outstanding natural beauty.

- The property boasts privacy and is set away from other properties or populated centres, therefore alleviating common issues associated with film production noise and extended hours.  

-The western  edge of the farm backs  onto the river Chess and located nearby on the farm land is a small pond filled by the river and surrounded by trees.

- In the central area are the u shaped original rustic barns approx 450sqm. Adjacent to these is the derilict farm house.

- Adjacent to the old barns is 100sqm of open concrete hardstanding , which has proved a wonderful addition for crew support vehicles.

- A new barn measuring 225 sqm is located adjacent to the woodland providing yet more additional space for indoor filming or support vehicles adjacent to the woods.

- Backing onto the central barns is the fully functioning helipad, located adjacent to a 400m grass runway, which has given great opportunity for filming aviation scenes. 

- Finally there is a 350m gravel private driveway leading up to the main barns, bordered by picturesque fields and hedging.
